Teflon is a useful material for all kitchen appliances and cooking utensils, because food can be prepared at high temperature without burning and sticking it. But you have to clean nonstick cooking utensils the right way to make them last in time.

First of all, you have to leave the pot or pan to cool completely, even if there is food stuck on the bottom of the pan.

Remove gently with a wooden spoon the food debris, and rinse with cold water.

Then clean the non-stick pan with a soft kitchen sponge and dish detergent, and then rinse well with warm water.
Wipe the non-stick pan with a dry cloth every time you wash it to prevent limestone appearance.
If some food traces remain stuck after such cleaning, don’t use a rough sponge to rub it because you’ll scratch it and you’ll ruin its adhesive layer.

Prepare a solution made from equal parts of vinegar and water, and add 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Leave the non-stick cooking pot to soak for 10 minutes then clean it with dish detergent and water, using a soft sponge.
