Tiny red accidents can happen to everyone, but then comes that question mark on how to remove a red wine stain from white clothes? Others will say goodbye to that particular garment piece, but I say keep it, because I found a saving solution and it’s not called bleacher!

Using bleacher to remove stains from white clothes may turn them yellow after a few more washes, but using natural solutions instead, your favorite white shirt will look like it has never been stained!

Salt and white alcohol

Yes! If you hurry to sprinkle some salt over the red wine stain, you are saving the day! Salt has the ability to absorb just like a sponge any liquid. You can easily use it for white clothes, tablecloth, jeans, or any other colored coat and even on the carpet.

Right after you sprinkle salt, pour over the red wine stain, white wine or vodka. It might sound crazy, but you will see how the red pigment is gone. Afterwards, you can wash the clothing item with warm water and soap.

Baking soda easily removes red wine stains

So, if the inevitable has happened, you need:

  • baking soda
  • lemon juice

Sprinkle baking soda over the fresh red wine stain, rub easily with your fingers for the powder to get deep into the fabric, and then pour lemon juice over it.

An acidic reaction that dissolves the red pigment will develop, but the clothes should be washed immediately with warm water and soap. It’s a great solution for white clothes, white towels or white tablecloths that have been stained at the party.

Old red wine stains

If the red wine stains are old and dry, soak the stain in warm water, and then add the baking soda and lemon juice.
