How to use salt and lemon to kill rust on bathroom faucets
Supplies Needed:
- Soft cloth
- Plastic bowl
- ¼ cup of salt
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- Nylon bristle
Corrosion Removing Process:
1. Dampen a soft, clean cloth with warm water. Wipe the cloth over the faucet to remove loose dirt, grime and debris.
2. Fill a plastic bowl with 1/4 cup of salt and 2 tbsp. of lemon juice. Thoroughly mix the ingredients to form a paste the consistency of icing.
3. Spread the paste evenly onto the corroded area of the faucet. Keep the paste on the faucet for 30 minutes.
4. Scrub the faucet with a nylon bristle brush to loosen the scaly debris.
5. Dampen another soft, clean cloth with warm water. Wipe the damp cloth over the faucet to rinse away the paste and loose corrosion.
6. Repeat the process if any trace of corrosion remains on the faucet. Make sure all corrosion is completely removed.

Coke can be used to clean rust from faucets. Pour Coke on the rusted area and scrub with a crumpled piece of aluminum foil. Repeat until rust is gone, rinse and dry.
