It doesn’t matter how much effort we put in maintaining the interior of our car clean and tidy, at some point it turns into a real mess, especially if you have toddlers.
The other day one of my kid, accidentally pop-out a bottle of Sprite and you don’t want to know how does the car look! Everything is sticky and the first impulse is to sell the car instead of cleaning it. But, I’ve armed myself with patience and some cleaning tricks which helped me clean the whole interior of the car.
And the solutions I’m talking about can be found in any household and are completely harmless.
1. Vinegar and baking soda
Mix these 2 ingredients until you obtain a paste, and apply it as such on dirt stains. Let it dry, and then vacuum well the areas.
2. Clean the ventilation system
A simple razor brush will help you clean the hard-to-reach places in the car, including the ventilation system.
3. Care for the control board
Instead using expensive and toxic solutions, just take a cotton cloth and pour a drop of olive oil on it. Now, wipe the entire control car board with it. It’s a very convenient and efficient solution.
4. Get rid of pet hair
If you have pets (I do!), you probably are aware of this problem. You will need water and a sponge. Pour water in a spray bottle, and sprinkle it over the seats, and then wipe the surface with a sponge.
5. Natural car freshener
There is no need to buy chemical car fresheners! Just mix baking soda with your favorite essential oil flavor oil. Then place the mixture in a small container with a hole in the top and find a suitable place for it in the car.
6. Windscreen wipers
If you lubricate the windscreen wipers with some alcohol, they will no longer spread the dirt on the windscreen.
7. Clean the windscreen
Spray over the windshield some vinegar, and then wipe it with a paper towel. It will be shiny as new.
8. Care for chrome rims
Mix water and vinegar in equal proportions and pour the mixture in a spray bottle. Apply the solution on the rims and wipe well with a cloth. They will be super shiny!
9. Clean the tires
Mix water and baking soda to obtain a paste, and then apply it to the tires. They tires will look like they just been bought.
10. Clean the outside of the car
If you don’t want to spend money at the car wash, just prepare a solution made of soap and vegetable oils. Pour it in a bucket with water and wash the car as such. This dirt remover has remarkable results!
