1. Hydrogen peroxide
To make this DIY solution, all you have to do is mix one part hydrogen peroxide with two parts water in a spray bottle. Simple as that. Then, simply spray this solution in the shower stall or other non-porous surfaces. Allow the solution to act for about an hour and then rinse the area with clean water and dry with a cloth.
2. Plain vinegar
That’s right, the good old vinegar is great for mildew. It is a highly natural disinfectant that will work on its own. Simply pouring white distilled vinegar into a spray bottle will be enough. Then, use it to spray the mildew areas and let the vinegar do its own thing. After about 10 minutes, rinse with clean water and dry with a cloth.
3. Tea tree oil
This DIY solution is about using tea tree essential oil. This is a very strong solution that will get rid of any traces of fungus. To make this, all you have to is mix 2 teaspoons of tea tree oil with 2 cups of water in a spray bottle. Shake very well so the ingredients incorporate together and then spray the mildew areas in your bathroom. Allow the solution to dry without rinsing with water. Simple as that.
4. Borax and white vinegar
Borax is another great natural solution to use when fighting with mildew. Mixing two teaspoons of Borax with one-half cup white vinegar in a spray bottle would do the trick. You need to apply this solution on mildew areas and let it act for about 30 minutes. Then rinse very well with clean water and allow the area to dry thoroughly.
