Are you a smoker and as long as you ventilate the room you are smoking in or the car, the smell of tobacco persists? It’s recommended to quit smoking, but if you can’t do that than learn how to get rid of the awful tobacco smell using natural remedies that are extremely effective.

1. Wash the textiles
Tobacco smoke impregnates in curtains, drapes, carpets, bed linen, upholstery, tablecloths, etc. The first thing you have to do to get rid of the smell is to wash all these textiles. When it comes about your car the situation is simpler: take it to a car wash.

2. Ventilate and vacuum the room or car
The cigarette smell can be removed if you vacuum the smoking area. So, vacuum the sofa or the armchairs and the rugs or carpets. Then leave the windows open to ventilate well the room or the car.

3. Use Vinegar
A bowl of vinegar left overnight in the smoking room will absorb the smell of tobacco.

4. Citrus odor
Lemon, orange or grapefruit peels cover the smell of a tobacco. Leave them in the rooms or in the car until they are completely dehydrated.

5. Baking soda
Baking soda will absorb the smell of tobacco and other unpleasant smells. Place a bowl of baking soda in the areas where you smoke to get rid of such bad odors.

6. Refresh the air with coffee
Fill a glass bowl with coffee beans and leave it in the room for several days. Will absorb the smell of cigarette and the smoke while you’re smoking.

7. Use chopped mint or basil
Wash well the basil or mint and chop them. Put these 2 ingredients in small glass bowls around the smoking area. The strong smell of these 2 herbs will absorb quickly the tobacco smell.

8. Activated charcoal
Activated charcoals absorb and neutralize the smell of cigarettes. Put activated charcoal powder in a bowl and any tobacco smoke will disappear. You can add a few drops from your favorite essential oil over the activated charcoal.
