We all know how annoying and creepy is a creaking wooden flooring! Everyone in the house knows when you are going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, even the neighbors if you are leaving in apartment block.

I can say: been there solve that problem! After weeks of hearing that creepy sound of creaking floor, I decided to take action: this means, ask your grandpa!

He actually came with some useful old techniques that reduced my wooden flooring to silence.

Matchsticks

Cut with a sharp knife some thin splinters of the match sticks, which are made of soft wood, and put them in the spaces between the wooden boards. This solution is good for solid and laminate wooden flooring. As you cover all the cracks, the annoying noises will stop.

Talcum powder

For the laminate wood boards which have been slightly removed, you can use talcum powder. Sprinkle talcum powder between the cracks and use a thin brush to insert the talcum powder well between the wooden boards. Walk around that particular area, and then add more talcum powder. Repeat this procedure several times until you get rid of the annoying creaking sound.
