Bathtub cleaning chemical products attack the tub’s enamel, causing gloss disappearance. Moreover, they are toxic for both humans and the environment. Here are two natural solutions to clean the bathtub that you can prepare at home.

Baking soda cleaning paste

Bathtub stains seem difficult to remove? You don’t have to turn to chemicals to get rid of them. All you have to do is to prepare a baking soda and lemon solution.

Mix 6 tablespoons of baking soda with three tablespoons of lemon juice and apply this solution in the tub. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes, then wipe thoroughly with a sponge dipped in lemon juice.
Rinse thoroughly tub.

Vinegar based solution

Another effective solution for cleaning and disinfecting the bathtub is the vinegar based one. All you have to do is to mix one quart of vinegar with two liters of water and add two tablespoons of baking soda in this mixture. Mix well and pour the concoction in a spray bottle.

Spray the solution thoroughly the entire bathtub surface and leave it on for 40-60 minutes. Clean the bathtub with a sponge and rinse it thoroughly with warm water.

Besides cleaning and disinfecting the bathtub, the solution can be successfully used to remove mold between tile joints.
