Do you have a kettle that has no use anymore because has gathered a lot of limescale on its walls? Before you waste money rushing to the supermarket to purchase a new one, you better learn some simple tricks to regain your old kettle’s original shine.

1. Vinegar

Vinegar is the most effective method for removing limescale from any object in the kitchen or bathroom. Pour equal amounts of vinegar and water in a pot and put it to boil. After the mixture starts to boil, take it off the heat and leave it aside for 1 hour for the solution to take effect. Clean the coffeepot with dishwashing detergent or rinse it several times.

2. Lemon juice

A glass of lemon juice can remove limescale from any area. All you have to do is pour the juice in the pot and leave it to act for an hour or more. Please note! You need concentrated lemon juice, so don’t add water into it. Rinse well.

3. Lemon salt

You’ll get the same results described in the preceding paragraph it you use lemon salt. Add a tablespoon of lemon salt and a few water glasses in the kettle, then put it to a boil and let it aside several hours. Rinse the kettle at the end.

4. Baking soda

The original shine of your kettle can be regained through efficient cleaning and baking soda is the most powerful solution. Make a mixture of a few tablespoons of baking soda and water and pour it into the pot. Let it work for a few minutes, empty the pot, add the cleaning powder and wash it normally with a sponge.

5. Oral hygiene tablets

Mouthwash tablets are very effective for removing limescale. Add water 2-3 tablets and let them act during the night. The next day, wash the kettle and rinse it several times.
