If your kids just thought to draw you a painting on your wooden furniture with a permanent marker, embrace the drawing and don’t get mad at them. There is a solution to remove those creative permanent marker traces out of your wooden furniture without ruining it.

You need:

  • toothpaste
  • rubbing alcohol
  • clean cloth

Apply a little toothpaste on the stain and rub gently with the cloth. Now, moist one side of the cloth in rubbing alcohol and remove the toothpaste with it. You can rub the area again using only alcohol if the stain isn’t completely removed. It’s advisable to test this technique on a very small surface to ensure that the wood or the paint won’t be destroyed.
