A cat, sometimes, will pee around the corner of your house instead of the litter as a revenge sign. The thing is that you have to action to get rid of the smell before the persistent odor gets soaked into the carpet.

1. Dry the affected area
At first, is you find out where your cat has urinated, take plenty of kitchen towel to absorb the cat urine, and to dry the surface. It is important, however, to keep in mind that the towel papers should be pressed on the damp stain, not to rub the area. Subsequent hygiene and odor removal will be more effective in this case.

2. Apply a vinegar solution with water
Next, prepare a solution of vinegar and hot water. Mix 3 parts of hot water with 1 part of vinegar. Pour the obtained solution over the affected area and let it act. For even more efficiency, make sure the solution is soaked by the carpet by applying pressure with a paper towel or cloth. Repeat the process until the unpleasant urine smell has completely disappeared.

3. Use a mixture of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide
If the cat has urinated on a carpet or on your clothes, it may be necessary to follow this step: apply a mixture of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Start by sprinkling a generous amount of baking soda over the affected area. Next, mix 1 teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide with 250 ml of water, and then add 1 tablespoon of laundry detergent. Shake the ingredients well and pour the solution obtained over the urine. With an old brush (which you can throw then), rub the stained area. Finally, vacuum the surface to remove all residues.

4. Use apple cider vinegar
In case if your cat had urinated on your clothes, as a revenge sign, to get rid of the pungent smell, add in the washing machine, beside the regular laundry detergent, 60 ml of apple cider vinegar. After the washing, clothes should have a fresh scent, and the cat urine smell would be just a bad memory.
