During winter, we are often disturbed by wet and smelly shoes. Shoes that create big discomfort to your feet can ruin your entire day, not to mention that it can cause serious fungal infections to your feet.
To prevent this from happening, you can use the following wax remedy to protect your shoes from rain and snow. This way, your feet will be also protected from bacteria due to a moist environment.
Beeswax is the best product that will waterproof your footwear and it costs a dime; and it’s very effective also. For dry footwear follow this procedure.
You will need:
- Beeswax
- old toothbrush
- hairdryer or hot air gun or essential oil burner
How to proceed?
Clean the shoes well (you can use disinfecting wet towels), and make sure your shoes are completely dry before applying the wax. Melt the wax in the essential oil burner.
Apply the wax with a toothbrush, uniformly, over the entire leather shoe surface. Then, use the hair dryer to melt the wax on the leather shoes by smoothing and polishing those hard-to-reach areas.
That’s it: with little effort, your leather shoes are waterproof now.
