Well, we do our laundry at least three times a week, but, in turn, we have to clean the washer, otherwise we risk in ruining our laundry. Not to mention about that bad odor released by the washer when mold is gathered around the rubber band.
Have you noticed when you hand wash your laundry, dirt and detergent residues are deposited on the basin? The same thing happens with your washing machine. After repetitive washings, dirt, limescale and detergent residues are deposited on the washer components.
To prevent this, it’s necessary to clean the washing machine periodically. The method we are proposing to you is very simple and extremely effective to maintain the health of your washing machine.
You need:
- 2 cups of vinegar
- 1/4 cup of baking soda
How to proceed?
1. Dissolve the baking soda in half a cup of water and pour this mixture into the detergent compartment of the washer.
2. Pour the vinegar directly into the washing machine.
3. Set the maximum temperature and start a washing cycle.
4. After washing, moisten a clean sponge and clean the dirt on the rubber band of the washing machine.
This procedure should be done every 1-6 months (depending on how often you do your laundry).
